The product

Lambskin nappa, in its purest form

Classic nappa is the heart of Pellican's production: a full-grain lambskin nappa with a soft, round hand and a natural lustre that brings out the grain. Light and pleasant to the touch, it is the leather luxury brands and manufacturers choose for high-end apparel, footwear and leather goods.

It comes from lambskin raw hides of European origin, fully traceable: certified traceability of the raw material is the basis of consistent quality from one batch to the next.

For classic nappa we offer two tannings: a mixed tanning and a chrome-free / metal-free tanning, with no chrome or other metals, for brands that require metal-free leathers.

Thicknesses from 0.3 to 1.3 mm and three skin sizes let you choose the right nappa for every project, from light, thin nappa for apparel to a more structured leather for footwear and leather goods.

A soft, versatile nappa for jackets, outerwear, trousers, footwear, bags and small leather goods.

Yes: nappa is among the most prized leathers because it keeps the grain intact and has a soft, full hand. The value of a nappa depends on the raw hide and on the tanning, which is why our classic nappa comes from traceable European hides.

Heavy cowhide leather is thick and compact, used for soles, belts and saddlery. Nappa is a thin, soft and supple leather made for apparel, footwear and leather goods, and lambskin nappa is among the lightest.

Mixed tanning combines different tanning agents; chrome-free / metal-free tanning uses no chrome and no other metals. For classic nappa we offer both, depending on the brand's requirements.
